ABOUT THE PRODUCT
This is a digital 3D model of an Inquisitor’s Sword. The sword comes with two designs: An Iron version, with a black leather grip wrapped by a very thin silver chain; and a Brass version, with a leather grip embossed with dragon scales. The blade has been modeled including a Blood Gutter (Fuller) in the center, adding to the weapon’s design a tad of extra realism and appeal.
This model can be used for any Medieval/Period/Fantasy themed render project, used either as a background prop, or as a closeup prop due to its high detail and visual quality.
By acquiring this product you will get the ready-to-render Blender scene with the 3D model and materials seen in the sample images, as well as one OBJ files of the Inquisitor’s Sword.
The product includes several textures to easily change the look and feel of the rendered model, and to allow the importation of the model into other 3D packages.
The sample images have been rendered in Blender with Cycles. The lights and materials seen in the sample images are included in the Blender file.
The .OBJ files have been tested in 3D Studio Max, Maya, Blender and ZBrush without issues.
PHYSICALLY BASED RENDERING [PRB]
This model has been textured following the principles of Physically Based Rendering (PBR). This means that the textures applied to the model have all the information needed to make hyper realistic renders, in which the materials behave like the real world material they are replicating, no matter what illumination or lighting condition they are in.
Thanks to PBR texturing, there is no need to guess how much glossiness or roughness the material needs to have to look real. The surface information is already set up in the textures, and it will make the material look consistent in every lighting condition and from every angle.
Sama Sama Studio PBR models usually come with Albedo textures for the color, Roughness maps for the reflections, Metalness maps for the metal parts, Opacity maps for the transparency, Height maps to add displacement, Scattering for subsurface scattering, and OpenGL Normal maps for the detail bump.

BLENDER’S PRINCIPLED SHADER
The material applied in every Sama Sama Studio PBR Blender scene is the new Principled Shader; and it uses the PBR method for shading the models, achieving incredibly realistic results.

The file has been compressed in a .zip format for easier download. A zip archiver (usually included in the Operative System) will be necessary for extracting the files.

☞Higher resolution texture maps (2K) are included, and can be accessed from the download page after the purchase.
Depending on the software package or version used after the purchase, the exchange formats (.obj) may not match the preview images. Due to the nature of these formats, the geometry could appear different than the original (triangulated or rotated). The textures might be flipped, or present the need of being loaded by hand.
The resulting rendered image might vary from the sample images.
